Accounts Payable Assistant

We are looking for a motivated individual to join our Finance team in an Accounts Payable role.

About the role

We are looking for a motivated individual to join our Finance team in an Accounts Payable role.  This is an exciting time to join our iconic Scottish business at our Elgin site supporting our wider business and working as part of a great team.  We use the online Esker invoice processing system together with our own ERP system to process our invoices. 

The key responsibilities are:

  • Manage the Esker workflow and deal with exceptions in the Esker system
  • Support the wider business with their queries 
  • Ensure all invoices are properly authorised in line with company policy
  • Ensure that purchase invoices are accurately coded
  • Perform supplier statement reconciliations
  • Process weekly and monthly payment runs to ensure that supplier payments are made in line with agreed payment terms
  • Manage changes in supplier bank details to ensure that these are valid
  • Manage the supplier master file, including adding new suppliers
  • Deal with queries from suppliers
  • Process company expense claims and credit card expenses

This is a full time, permanent position working from our Elgin office. Hybrid working is also available.

Salary starting from £22,105 dependent on experience.

About You

You will:

  • Have experience working in an accounts payable role
  • Be extremely numerate
  • Be IT literate – experience of Excel and ideally other ERP software
  • Have good attention to detail
  • Be able to work well as part of a team
