About the Role

We have openings for darners, experienced or not, to darn and mend woven cloth. This role will suit someone who has an excellent ability to spot faults and takes pride in resolving them. This will include greasy, clean and perch darning to rectify faults revealed during the inspection of cloth and accessory product to produce a quality finish. Full training is provided.      

This is a permanent post, working one of the following shift patterns - 

Weekend - Saturday and Sunday 6am - 4pm (20 hours)

Night Shift - Sunday 8pm - 6am, Monday to Thursday 12am to 6am (33.5 hours)

10 Week Rotation - 4 x 12 hour shifts (days and nights) followed by 4 days off, with an 18 day rest period every 8 weeks (full time)

About You

  • Be able to demonstrate a high skill level in regard to darning activities
  • Good colour vision is required 
  • Attention to detail and ability to concentrate over long periods is important for these close work positions  
  • Reliable
  • Able to work well as part of a team
  • Willing to learn
