Leading our Logistics Team by providing support & working knowledge.

About the Role

You will be:

  • supervising the logistics team, prioritising workloads and solving problems effectively
  • coordinating and processing outbound and inbound shipments using the relevant software and databases
  • preparing packed goods for shipping (eg shipping marks, building pallets)
  • booking in and distributing received goods
  • loading and unloading vehicles
  • picking and moving stock between warehouses
  • capturing and analysing data and using this to drive improvements
  • communicating efficiently and effectively with key contacts
  • controlling and maintaining consumable stock levels, uniform and PPE
  • processing and checking all logistics invoices

This is a permanent post, working 39 hours a week. Salary is starting from £27,000 (per annum) depending on experience.

The hours of work will be:

0800 - 1630 Monday and Tuesday

0730 - 1630 Wednesday and Thursday

0730 - 1330 Friday

About You

You will have -

  • supervisory skills, as well as being able to work effectively within a team environment
  • working knowledge of Customs procedures post BREXIT would be advantageous
  • an organised, detail conscious Be well organised, detail conscious and confident in working with computerised systems
  • Have a strong sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
  • A calm, efficient and enthusiastic demeanour, even on the busiest of days.
  • MS Office proficiency (Word, Outlook, Excel)

A UK driving license is essential as you may have to drive our van between our Elgin sites. A forklift or bendi-forklift license is beneficial but not essential as training can be provided.
