This is a new and exciting opportunity for a time-served Engineer to join our busy Maintenance Department. You will play a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations at our Elgin Mill by providing Technical support.

This is a new and exciting opportunity for a time-served Engineer to join our busy Maintenance Department. You will play a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations at our Elgin Mill by providing  Technical support to a wide range of plant and equipment.

This is a permanent role, working 39 hours a week on a 2 shift rotation. Shifts are as follows –

Early shift – Monday to Thursday 0600 to 1400 and Friday 0600 to 1300

Back Shift – Monday to Wednesday 1400 to 2400 and Thursday 1400 to 2300

About You

You will be –

  • formally trained, holding a formal qualification following a recognised apprenticeship
  • experienced in carrying out proactive/reactive maintenance in a production environment
  • able to follow schematic drawings
  • experienced in pneumatics, pumps, gearboxes and steam systems
  • able to fault diagnose, problem solve and drive improvements
  • experienced in welding and fabrication
  • methodical, a team player and able to work on your own initiative
  • hardworking with a can-do attitude
  • able to maintain and improve working standards
  • a strong communicator

An electrical qualification or experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
