Overview
We are growing our permanent night shift in our Purling and Darning departments.

We are growing our permanent night shift in our Purling and Darning departments.

Purling involves hand and foot co-ordination to operate machinery to twist the fringes of woven fabric at the ends of our luxury rugs and scarves.  It's an essential part of the process and vital that it is done well. 

Darning involves using fine hand skills and needlework to repair any faults made in the cloth during production.

Full training and the opportunity to undertake our Modern Apprenticeship are available for both positions.

About you

You will have:

  • Excellent co-ordination
  • An eye for detail, particularly in regard to quality
  • The ability to follow written instructions
  • Good colour vision

Previous experience working night shift would be beneficial but not necessary.

This is a part-time, permanent position working 34 hours a week. The hours of work are Sunday 8pm - 6am and Monday to Thursday 12am - 6am.
