This is a great opportunity to lead operational activities for our payroll function.

This is a great opportunity to lead operational activities for our payroll function. Key accountabilities will include ensuring an efficient service is delivered, developed and maintained across the business, mentoring and coaching our payroll team and implementing new and effective processes.

 

The Role:

  • Whilst ensuring the delivery of an excellent payroll service, continually seek and implement process or systems improvements to the function
  • Supervise, motivate and provide training to payroll assistants and develop positive relationships with the wider HR team and other stakeholders
  • Implement a planned payroll schedule undertaking daily and weekly checks
  • Ensure compliance with all appropriate regulations, undertake audits and produce reports

This is a full time post, working from our Elgin offices, although part time and remote working is available for the right candidate.

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Will be an experienced payroll professional, preferably holding a suitable qualification
  • Will have a demonstrable aptitude for identifying efficiencies and implementing improvements
  • Can either have supervisory experience or be ready to take this next step
  • Able to manage a heavy workload, whilst maintaining a sense of priority and achieving on deliverables
  • Be a self-starter and have the ability to motivate others within the payroll team
