As a trainee chef in our busy kitchen you will be helping prepare and cook dishes from our seasonal menus.

You will be

  • preparing, cooking from scratch and presenting items from our menu
     
  • ensuring the quality of dishes are of a high standard on all occasions
  • helping to maintain good stock control and storage of food, equipment and cleaning items
  • adhering to food safety procedures at all times
  • ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness within the kitchen

This is a permanent position with the rate of pay starting at £9.90 per hour. Hours and days are flexible - part or full time will be considered. Our restaurant is only open through the day so night working is not a requirement of the role.

Training would be provided in house although external courses, through Moray College or other bodies, would be encouraged and time off provided.

  • have excellent interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills
  • be passionate about cooking and presenting food, with an interest in local ingredients
  • have experience of working in a busy environment
  • be detail orientated and committed to quality
