Overview
The tasks for this position will include working on modern weaving machinery; setting these up for customer orders and ensuring product quality and performance. Successful candidates must have mechanical aptitude.

About the Role

The tasks for this position will include working on modern weaving machinery; setting these up for customer orders and ensuring product quality and performance.  Successful candidates must have mechanical aptitude. Technician experience is preferred but training may be available to suitable candidates. Manual handling and lifting will be necessary.  Other duties include maintenance, problem solving and responding to breakdowns to ensure continuity of production.

A Modern Apprenticeship qualification may be available for eligible candidates. Relocation packages are also available for successful candidates.

The hours of work will be based on a three week rotational shift system averaging 39 hours

Week 1            2pm to 10pm Monday to Thursday

Week 2             6am to 2pm Monday to Thursday, 6am to 5pm Friday

Week 3            8pm Sunday to 6am Monday; 10pm Monday to 6am Tuesday and consecutive nights finishing on Friday morning 6am

We also have a weekend shift available, working 6am - 6pm Saturday and Sunday and one 8 hour shift throughout the week, equating to 32 hours per week. A weekend shift allowance is also available.

About You

You will:

  • Be an experienced Loom Tuner
  • Be able to accurately follow written instructions.
  • Be a reliable self-starter
  • Be a good team player
  • Have good colour vision
  • Have meticulous attention to detail
  • Have a positive, can do attitude
