Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a Dyehouse Lab Assistant to join our team on a permanent basis.

We have a permanent position available for a Dyehouse Lab Assistant. This position is unsuitable for anyone with a pacemaker.

About the role

The primary responsibilities include:

  • Colour matching
  • Making up chemical solutions
  • Providing technical support to the Dyehouse team
  • Reviewing the current schedule and keeping up with demand
  • Development of new colours and shades
  • Sample preparation
  • Performing wash fastness testing
  • Inventory management
  • Ensuring the lab works effectively and safely
  • Good communication

The work hours will be two-shift rotational, with an occasional night shift, averaging 38 hours per week.

The department will provide training.

The hours of work will be:

Day shift: Monday to Thursday, 6 am to 2 pm and Friday, 6 am to 1 pm

Back shift: Monday to Wednesday, 2 pm to 12 midnight, and Thursday, 2 pm to 11 pm

Every 5th week, there will be a requirement to work night shift commencing Sunday 11 pm to Monday 6 am; then Monday to Thursday 10 pm to 6 am.
