Due to continued expansion of the business, we are looking for a Knitwear Production Supervisor to join our make up team at Hawick Mill.

Due to continued expansion of the business, we are looking for a Knitwear Production Supervisor to join our makeup team at Hawick Mill.

Responsible to - Knitwear Production Manager

Key Responsibilities – Maintain and oversee the day-to-day running of the department.

This is a permanent role, working 39 hours a week on a dayshift. Salary is starting from £26,000 per annum dependent on experience.

About the Role

Based in our Hawick mill, you will: 

  • prioritise team members workloads and use problem solving skills to effectively resolve  issues, ensuring targets are met efficiently and production schedules are fulfilled
  • deal with employee issues, such as managing attendance & disciplinary actions, quickly and efficiently using clear communication, liaising with Managers & HR colleagues where appropriate
  • act as a champion for quality, ensuring highest levels of production are maintained thoughout the department

About you

You will:

  • have previous supervisory experience or manufacturing experience, preferably in a knitwear environment
  • be quality driven, demonstrating high attention to detail
  • be self-motivated with strong organisational skills
  • have the ability to supervise and work within a team
  • be computer literate, with prior knowledge of manufacturing systems being advantageous

Experience in any and all stages of the knitwear production process including stitching, mending, cutting, hand sewing, collar linking or body linking would be beneficial but are not essential.
