Overview
Due to continued expansion of the business, we are looking for a Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day running of the Yarn Store department at our Hawick Mill.

Job Title: Supervisor

This is a permanent role, working 38 hours a week on a dayshift. Salary is starting from £27,229 per annum dependent on experience.

Responsible to – Accessories Knitting Manager

Based at our Hawick Mill, you will: 

  • Be Responsible for overseeing operational accuracy, maintaining a clean and organised workspace, verifying the accuracy of deliveries, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring all fibres are stored in their designated locations.
  • Deal with employee issues, such as managing attendance & disciplinary actions, quickly and efficiently using clear communication, liaising with Managers & HR colleagues where appropriate
  • Act as a champion for quality, ensuring highest levels of production are maintained throughout the department

About you

You will:

  • Have previous supervisory experience or manufacturing experience, preferably in a knitting environment
  • Be quality driven, demonstrating high attention to detail
  • Be self-motivated with strong organisational skills
  • Have the ability to supervise and work within a team
  • Computer literacy is essential. Prior experience with manufacturing systems is an advantage, although full training will be provided
