Join our team as a Trainee Shima Knitter! Ideal for those passionate about textiles, eager to learn, and ready to work with advanced knitting technology to craft high-quality garments and accessories.

 

Hours: Full-time, Permanent, 39 hours per week (3 Shift Rotation)

  • Week 1: 6am – 2pm (Mon-Thu), 6am – 12pm (Fri)
  • Week 2: 2pm – 10:30pm (Mon-Thu), 12pm – 4pm (Fri)
  • Week 3: 9pm – 6am (Sun), 10:30pm – 6am (Mon-Thu)

Pay: £12.50 - £14.61/hour (dependent on experience) + shift allowance post training

About the Role

As a Trainee Shima Knitter at Johnstons of Elgin, you’ll be responsible for operating various Shima knitting machines, including our latest Whole Garment Technology.  Working with fine gauge luxury yarns, you’ll produce garments and accessories while performing quality checks to ensure the highest standards.  

Full training will be provided, but if you have experience, your expertise will be highly valued and welcomed.
