Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and organised individual to assist with the photography and handling of yarns within our Yarn Store department

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organised individual to assist with the photography and handling of yarns within our Yarn Store department. This role involves collecting yarns, photographing them using a lightbox setup, accurately naming image files, and preparing samples while ensuring all items are correctly returned to storage.

This is a full time, temporary post for 6 months working 38 hours per week. 

Monday to Thursday 0700 - 1600 Friday 0700 - 1100

Rate of pay starting from £12.60 per hour, dependant on experience.

 

Key Responsibilities

· Collect yarns from various designated storage areas within the yarn store

· Photograph yarns using a lightbox setup connected to a laptop

· Accurately rename image files to match the corresponding colour codes

· Arrange small cones to be wound for each colour photographed

· Return yarns to their correct storage locations after use

Required Skills and Attributes:

· Strong attention to detail

· Basic computer literacy, including file naming and image handling

· Good organisational skills

· Ability to work independently and follow instructions

· Comfortable working at height (suitable equipment will be provided)

Desirable:

· Experience with digital photography or product photography setups

· Familiarity with yarns, textiles, or related materials
